Each day offers each of us many minutes, many opportunities to make the right move suggesting that we watch our minutes and our moves:

Today is the day. This is the hour that counts. And….now is the minute. Today is a gift. We are not promised a single tomorrow. We are not even promised another minute. So, what does this mean?

I’ve only just a minute,
Only sixty seconds in it.
Forced upon me, can’t refuse it,
Didn’t seek it, didn’t choose it,
But it’s up to me to use it.
I must suffer if I lose it,
Give an account if I abuse it,
Just a tiny little minute,
But eternity is in it.

Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays,

Beloved President of Morehouse College from 1940-1967

Wow! Puts just a bit of a charge into the moment doesn’t it! Makes the next minute more exciting, doesn’t it! Stops me in my tracks each time I read it.

So, may you watch your minutes and

may you always make the right moves.
